Service and ambience is terrific, really as good as it can get. Old school stuff, great lighting. Martini was good, I got a Pinot , was good not great but okay (at least it wasn't 19 bucks which in sf can easily happen). The steak was under seasoned. I got the ny strip. That au poiver or whatever the Jus was is clearly not a reduction as much as it is beef bullion+water+corn starch to tighten it up. I get it, you wanna save time, you save time, but salt the hell out of it, at least! Dessert was good. Prob can't miss there. You're going for the atmosphere, and to sit in a room like that, I'll probably go again. I won't rush back, though, because the steak wasn't quite up to snuff.

We've been wanting to try Brazen Head for a while, and we finally did it on Friday night after striking out at another restaurant that had a 3-hr wait, and honestly, we were so happy to end up here because the meal was fantastic all around. For food, I decided to go with the prime rib for $45. It came with creamed spinach and baked potato. I thought for the price, it was a solid piece of prime rib and would definitely order again. I also got a side of their rice, but that's a pass for me. The meat had great flavor and mixed with the horseradish, it was exactly what I wanted. I wish they had a stronger horseradish though, I want to feel that burn lol. We also tried the prawn scampi, which was good, but the sauce was watery. Even though it was watery, it still had good flavor. For drinks, we started with a couple of cocktails and both went with the Brazen Head martini with the blue cheese olives. I'm not much of a martini person, but I truly enjoyed this one. And after dinner, we had the espresso martinis, which were a perfect nightcap. The drinks here definitely didn't disappoint. There's no reservations, so it's first come, first serve. We came around 7:30PM and were able to get a spot right away. It's perfect for a date night or small group dinner. We will definitely be back for more!

The best & only late night eats in the Marina. Both times that I visited, it was after 10PM & we were looking for food choices near home & remembered that Brazen Head is open late, including the kitchen, has great food & cocktails (mainly martinis). My most recent visit was last night, after the Kings of Leon concert at The Greek Theatre & feeling hungry while driving back, we went to Brazen Head. We opted to sit at the bar (more fun to people watch and/or engage with other patrons & the bartender). Since it was kinda late, we shared an escargot appetizer & with warm bread to dip in the buttery goodness & we had our own bowls of soup (my friend had the French onion soup & I had the New England Clam Chowder, which I saw featured on the chalkboard as a daily special). The food hit spot for us. I had the French martini (Grey Goose, Chambord, pineapple) which was balanced & delicious. My friend had the Brazen Head Martini but requested gin instead of Tito's, blue cheese olives & enjoyed it. Service from our bartender was excellent.

Cool old school sf restaurant. Very dark and moody feel. Had wonderful service in the dining room. Had the filet. It was tasty. Everything was good. Nothing groundbreaking, but was a solid meal. And they make a solid martini!

Came here on a Friday night and was seated immediately. The servers were really attentive to us and made sure to fill up our water. We got the French onion gratinee, the heirloom tomato and burrata, and the filet mignon. The French onion soup was really flavorful and I liked the pieces of bread and onion inside. The cheese was perfectly melted on the bowl. The heirloom tomato and buratta had a lot of tomato pieces which I liked and the burrata was super filling and could feed all three of us. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly rare and fed me for 2 meals! The baked potato had cheese and sour cream on the side and I liked how I was able to make my own baked potato. This is one of my favorite restaurants and I would come here again!

These days one can have almost anything delivered provided one pays for them. Yet I was still surprised (shocked ) I can order a prime rib for delivery. I always seer this food as something I would eat at a steak house or restaurant. We recently had a very busy day and didn't want to go anywhere, but of course yours truly had a hankering for prime rib, baked potato and all the fixin' you get. I was browsing the delivery app and I punched in prime rib randomly because that's what I was feeling and Brazen Head showed up! Now we have never been to BH, but this place is on our list to try, so what better way to try than now. The prime rib came nicely packaged in a brown handled bag with a lovely BH logo. Inside, prime rib, baked potato, cream spinach and some au jus. Also some bread, cheese, the toppings for the potato and some sour cream. I forgot whether they gave us horseradish... We thought the prime rib was slightly too salty, but otherwise the meal was delicious. We made a salad on the side and that was our meal.

THE BEST FILET MIGNON EVER. This place is truly a hidden gem. It feels like a speakeasy the way the exterior is not flashy and you enter in a dark room. The space is small but the steak is so good you'll only be focused on that. Filet mignon $48 (5/5) - comes with mushrooms on top of your steak and your choice of 2 sides. I got the mashed potatoes and green beans. It's an extra $3 charge if you want a baked potato. The food looks basic, but the filet mignon was soft and juicy. Your entree comes with bread and that's some GOOD bread. Espresso $7 (5/5) - comes with a lemon on the side. This was the most unique espresso I've ever had. The steak was so good that I came back 2 days later to have it again. The server recognized me lol. Service was great, food was amazing. You pay more if you pay with credit card instead of cash. I can't wait to come back for my third steak!

Went for Valentine's day and the vibes of the restaurant were amazing. They don't take reservations so going around 5:45 we had to wait about an hour to get seated. The decor and lighting was so cool, everything was tinted orange and they had a lot of picture frames and mirrors lining the walls. Our waitress was so kind and she always came around to chat with us about the food or how our night was going. It is one of the most affordable steak restaurants we've been to in the city, the filet mignon was 48 dollars. French Onion Gratinee - A very warm and savory dish. We loved the sweet onions and the bread was delicious, soft and soaked in the soup so well. Heirloom Tomato & Burrata - Everything about this dish was fresh and light. The tomatoes with the arugula, burrata and thin crackers was such a nice start for our meal. T-Bone Steak - This was a special on the sign we saw outside. Got it with a side of baked potato which came with all the goods, the cheese, onions and sour cream. The T-Bone steak came with a chimichurri sauce that was very herby but was a little too tangy for us. Filet Mignon - Our favorite dish of the night! Ordered the smaller 5 ounce size with a side of mashed potatoes which were soft and buttery. The meat was juicy and so tender, melted in our mouths and the creamy, herbal bearnaise sauce really complemented it. At the end of the meal, they gave us a rose which was such a nice way to wrap up our night. A vibey nighttime spot that we are wanting to go back to already to try their prime rib and get the filet mignon again.

Amazing hidden gem in the marina! Came here on date night and really enjoyed the moody ambiance + local feel. There are no reservations and the place was PACKED both at the bar and at the dining tables. We waited about 35 mins for an indoor table but it was worth it! My bf and I really enjoyed the meal and overall experience. I ordered the NY Pepper Steak with a loaded baked potato and he got the prime rib...both yummy. We also shared the burrata pesto app -- had less flavor than I expected but still tasty and fresh! Will return to try other entrees and the cocktails as well, specifically the espresso martini!
